Moments, not poses
We don't direct the evening — we watch it. Every event is directed and every film edited by Marcelo Rodrigues, an Emmy-nominated documentary editor, with hand-picked photographers shooting to that same direction. The film and the photographs come out of one way of seeing, because they do.
Think of the party pages at the back of a fashion magazine: everyone at their best, mid-laugh, mid-toast, caught in the flattering half-second. Nobody stiffly posed, and nobody caught out.
Marcelo Rodrigues
Twenty-five years editing documentaries and series. Films he cut have been awarded at IDFA Amsterdam and nominated for the International Emmy. The Rodrigues began five years ago, when people who knew his work started asking him to bring it to their own celebrations.
He has also cut fashion, including the world's major fashion weeks. A runway teaches you that the difference between an ordinary frame and a beautiful one is a fraction of a second, and that the whole job is knowing which to keep. A celebration is the same problem in a warmer room — and that eye is his, never handed to anyone else.

Most of the photographs are his. Marcos has shot alongside Marcelo for years. He'll take the requests and the family portraits, but his gift is the other thing — the half-second nobody asked for, when a room gives itself away and everyone in it still looks like their best self.
